“Transformation Cycle” narrates the mythic journey of the snake: She encounters the moon pierced by a blade and recognizes that transformation requires sacrifice. She then descends underground, entering a liminal space where she sheds her skin and releases what she can no longer carry forward. Finally, she emerges from the earth, reborn into a new form. The cycle continues, an ongoing passage of change, surrender, and renewal.
Dario Salvatore Bucheli is an artist and museum professional based in Beaumont, Texas. Bucheli holds a BA from the University of Dallas and an MFA from Texas Christian University, both in Studio Art with a focus on painting. Exhibition history includes presentations throughout Texas and internationally in both solo and group exhibitions. Bucheli’s work is represented by Fort Works Art.
Bucheli explores themes of displacement, identity, and connection through reinterpretations of symbols from pre-colonial Mesoamerican codices alongside references to contemporary American politics and culture.
