During Empty BOX, we celebrate being part of Houston’s vibrant art community. Our solid presence in the city is the result of current and past members' hard work volunteering to run the space - from building studio walls to helping artists install shows in our galleries. Every year, we provided affordable studio spaces to 20+ local artists, and we exhibit solo, group, and curated exhibitions in our 4 galleries for over 40 artists from across the country. We rely on the group as a whole to continuously further our mission to promote the creation and advancement of experimental contemporary art in Houston.

In order to support these initiatives and many more, each year we hold our exhibition and fundraiser, the Empty BOX. The fundraiser exists in two parts. We have the Silent Auction, which is an excellent way to add work from outstanding local, national, and international artists to your collection. We also have our Poor Man’s Raffle, offering the chance to win work by current BOX 13 Resident Artists. Additionally, donations can be made via Paypal to the fundraiser by clicking here.
